I got my 75,000 Mr. Heater. Installed it myself, got the gas installed, we won’t' go there, dang NIPSCO, local gas company.. Turned on the heater and no juice. The green light on the board didn't come on and Mr. Heater said they would need to send me a new board. Will be here Wednesday.. I hope a just got some bad luck but who sends out a new furnace with a bad board.. I put the red on red and the white on white for the Therm. I hooked up the electric this way. I open the side of the furnace and there were three white wires and two black. I hooked up the black to the 120 lead and the whites to the return or neutral is this right? Let me know if you all have had problems with these boards...

The 120 volt power. You put the black on black the white on white and the bare copper to the grounding lug or frame. Then the thermostat (the thin wires) red to red, white to white.

1st check Are you getting 120 volt power to the black and white wires? If not why?

2nd check are you getting 24 volts to the thermostat wires?

I didn't see a ground wire, I thought the ground would come from the unit being grounded to the unit box. Is there a bare copper ground in the box. Is there a bare copper wire I have to deal with?

There won't be a ground wire from the unit. The ground wire from your side will need to be attatched to a ground lug within the unit as russla pointed out. It may also need a ground screw to bond it to a point on the unit. Check your install inst. I believe somebody on this forum had a bad board last season. It can happen.

Even without the thermostat wired-in, but with the 120V line correctly installed, you should still get the little green diagnostics light to be on, or flashing you some code.

I believe it was some folks with the Modine HOTDAWG that had some problems with the board.

I have an ADP CAYENNE and love it!

just finished installing my Mr. Heater 45,000btu unit, there isn't a ground stud/wire, so I just drilled a hole in the back and used a bolt, I do hear a clicking when I turn the power on and the exhust blower starts But don't have fuel yet...Still ( after 3 weeks) waiting for my propane dealer to bring out a 120 gal tank..... I'm low on the priority list
" just to heat my shop". Now tell me, is that good customer service? seeing that we prepayed the last 4yrs. Can't ***** to much there no charge for the tank setup... so I was told
