I was wondering if anyone has built their own loader for a tractor. If so I would like to see some pics.

For what they you can buy them for used Im not sure I would ever consider it. When farmers need money, they NEED money. Dont bother looking at sales. Ride around the sticks and see whats out by the road.

Depends on what the loader is for. For a larger tractor, you can usually find them quite reasonable. For a compact or garden tractor, hold onto your ***.

We could get a loader for our 130hp Allis for the same price I can get one for my garden tractor.

Check on TractorByNet.com in the welding or project forums. There are quite a few on there. There are some really neat rock/stump type grapples on there as well. YMMV.
