Anyone Built a Rolling Refrigerator Platform?

I'm about to renovate my garage, including a high-end epoxy floor and built in cabinets (Gladiator Premier)... The one item I want to tackle next are the refrigerators... we have two of full sized refrigerators and I would LOVE to be able to easily move / re-position the refrigerators... the standard "factory wheels" **** and will likely mar the new floor.

Has anyone built a simple rolling platform with rolling / locking wheels? If so, would LOVE pics and comments on how well it works.

Thanks!

For most rectangular items I build an angle iron frame to set it into, then add casters of my choice. This way you can shove it around without it scooting off the dolly.

+1, this exactly what I do.

Which is why I constantly scrounge angle iron and casters.

Yeah, I like the casters with a mounting plate instead of a stem. I just weld the casters to the angle iron frame.

I made this for my mini-fridge.
You could make something similar just on a larger scale with the casters you want.

I don’t have any pics, but the above example is exactly what I did when I built mine for the freezer. Worked great

The completely built HF dollies are cheaper than 4 castors.
And they work just fine.

I do remove the grey padding and depending on the underside of he appliance I might fill in the low part between the end parts.

Or lay in outriggers.

But they offer an easy starting point.
