I spend plenty of time lurking the hot deals section here so I figured I would inquire if any of you guys CNC Route Fluted Polypropylene (Sign Material/Coroplast)

I feel like I have tried every variation of cutter, low spindle RPM, high spindle RPM, low IPM, high IPM and I just cannot for the life of me get a smooth finished edge. Too fast it melts the plastic and wads, too slow it frays the edges horribly.

I've managed to get it to where it doesn't disgust me but I know there's got to be something I'm doing wrong, or I just need to **** it up and move to a drag knife setup.

Currently I'm using a 6 flute compression bit that's meant for cutting corrugated cardboard, it has given me the best finish of the cutters I've tried.

Any thoughts? Here is what I'm cutting, just standard 4mm coroplast

Definitely dedicated plastic single flute or possibly two flute end mill at medium speeds and feeds. I have had good luck with Kodiak though I don’t see the ones I have on their website any more.

I have not personally used them, but I have a friend who swears by Harvey end mills

The flute pattern looks a lot like what I use for plastic
