Hey, does anyone fill their tool bags with 1 specific tool colour or brand? If so lets see some pic's. I am in the process of making my bag yellow with klien pliers, proto prybar, and a jet hammer and as much other misc stuff i can find in yellow. Ill upload a pic when they arrive :)

An alternate reality in a parallel universe.
I did this back in the 80's, I worked at a shop were there were over 20 maintenance guys and we all had tool bags/pouches and would end up working on equipment together. So to help keep tools from getting mixed up we all chose a color and then either painted, makred with color electrical tape or some other means our tools - even individual allen wrenches.

As to the OCD side of things, I've put together tool back with one brand of pliers, one brand of screwdrivers, so everything would match, but do not have any pictures I could post.

I tend to paint yellow bands/spots on my tools. I don't worry about neatness because it's just so I can identify them. Tends to keep them from growing "legs".

I kind of do this. I don't have any pictures, but all of my painting items go in a blue tool box I made years ago while all my automotive tools go in a red box. I don't follow this scheme exclusively, but it's close enough to exclusive that I've considered going that route.

All my work hand tools and air tools have or will be getting red plastidip handles or red stripes with 1/4 electrical tape on things like sockets/wrenches etc. If my air tools aren't already red I'll plastidip or paint the handle. In addition to that all of them are scribed with my 3 initials.

My home tools I just keep organized, mostly Mastercraft brand, not too picky on colours and matching here as long as it's organized.

I used to work for an annual flower show (building, not growing). Every year our budget would get blown by having to replace tools that had been stolen the year before. So .... I bought a REALLY UGLY case of Mauve spray paint on closeout and painted all the tools in the roadbox. I got yelled at for "ruining all the tools", but we never had a problem with lost tools anymore. Some of the crew actually bought their own tools so they wouldn't be seen using the "pink" ones. (seriously, who hires themselves out as a carpenter without at least owning a tape measure or hammer ?)

My personal tools were marked with two green stripes, even extension cords and air hoses, right down to individual sockets. My loses were minimal because I always made it clear to all the new guys how quickly I could get a guy fired for F*****g with my toolbox. (I only had to prove it once in 20yrs)
