Anyone disassemble a Sprunger DP 15?

Hello,putting new bearings on my spindle, and got this far in disassembly.

two snap rings are already loose. I have an arbor press but not sure which way to press on it and didn’t want to screw it up

I went ahead with the press and a bearing splitter, and got the upper two bearings off. There is a steel carrier they are pressed onto (see pic), the carrier has a bronze bushing inside it. The carrier floats up and down on the spline and hits a stop when it moves to the top. Somewhat hesitant to start pressing it, since the inside is bronze, anyone familiar?
