Those of you living in the cold climates have to be able to relate. I haven't gone to the flea in almost three months. I'm going through withdrawl. I used to go every sunday, sometimes hit a couple in one day. I'm jonesing for old good quality used tools.

Yup, I'm getting the shakes too!! I haven't gone in a couple of months because of other family commitments and what not, plus I had to cut back on my spending. I still hit some of the estate sales and pawn shops though. :)

Last Sunday I had to get dressed up and go to a family party instead of to the car boot sale.
What made it worse was that we were just round the corner from the sale :-(

Yes, big time.:(
Flea wont be back here for three more months.
There are some indoor markets here but they only sell true junk.
Vintage tools keep me from hurting other people and myself.

Been pretty lucky here. Three of the last four Wednesdays have been decent weather for the Wednesday morning flea market here. Made a good haul of Plomb stuff last Wednesday. Supposed to be another pretty day tomorrow.

I like swap meets so much, I started my own! First Sunday of every month... March thru November!
Me starting my own swap meet was like a heroine addict getting a chemistry set for Christmas, or an arsonist own his own match factory.

Big time withdrawal.

Here in southern New Mexico they don't stop, unless it is really bad weather. We have had a very dry and some what warm winter. Now as far as quality goes its been down for a while. The high gas price in the summer and into late fall turned a lot of regulars from driving around to the little towns. Right around Christmas time i was able to pick up a nice older craftsman box with about 10 old "V" series metric and half moon wrenches and a nice Plomb WF-6 9/32 Extension/Nut driver it seems to be one of the rarer pieces.

I'm in new mexico too; the fleas keep going! I picked up a bunch of sockets last weekend; plus, bluepoint external clip pliers, Proto 8" adjustable wrench, my first williams 3/8" b52 ratchet (impressive fine teeth), another first... a Knipex cutter/plier, craftsman 1/4" alignment punch, small Snap-On prybar, early Snapon magnetic tip screwdriver, assorted Snap-On 3/8" sockets, mac brake pliers, mac impact 1/2" sockets, cheap IR/stanley 1/2" deep impact sockets and more! I'm getting close to completing my impact sets as well! The pawnshops seem to be packed with tools the economy the way it is; I've been hitting the jackpot! I am almost completing all my 3/8" Snap-On socket sets shallow/deep (6 pt, working on 12 pts) and finally completed my Snap-On 1/4" sets (6pt working on 12pts)! Now, if I could only find a good deal on dual 80 Snapon ratchets in all drive sizes! :) LOL!

It is a poor substitute but my nightly visit to eBay and Craig's list keeps the shakes down.

It helps a little that I take in the full week at Hershey in October and walk my legs off for 5 days as my finally for the season.

I visit ebay and CL about every other day, and can sometimes get caught up. spending WAY too much time and money in the process. It certainly is an addiction.

Don't make many flea markets, but maybe I should...another source.
