Looks like a display!
I gather you use a lot of solid single core cable in the states hence the need and use of these types of strippers ? 99% of our power cable is stranded hence pliers are used to cut and strip . same with slip joint pliers not a common tool, tounge and groove or local name multi grips are big , Since the close of local tool company Channellock has the market share .
I Bought a pair of xcelite wire strippers as a 1st year apprentice and was laughed at . You were only allowed to use lineman’s pliers and master the skill of wire stripping without damaging the conductor. In my 3rd year we had to use strippers , the European style as we were constructing 11000 volt Control cubicles for Power stations. These days the younger electricians use the shear style plier , I own a pair but do not like them as they damage the core , I prefer the Klein or channellock 3248 and for rough in the big Klein 9 inch journeyman as they have weight. Thanks for the insight in USA electrical. ( Ps the English ,Irish and Kiwis don’t commonly use the wire strippers. It’s cultural, and in all fairness, your methodology is correct cheers )Yes. But we also strip stranded wire with the same types of wire strippers
This is my thought as well!Yep, electrical guys here have one or more pairs of strippers! Sometimes different types!

Square shaft very nice , the indent was there a part missing? , is their many older Channellock catalogues around with the screwdrivers in detail ? I did see an insulated channellock driver I gather they were rare or from cementex ,but in blue. If you have one in your collection would love to see it. CheersGot these from eBay. I think they were originally screwholding drivers
I will have to look for some old catalogs, I don’t have any insulated screwdriversSquare shaft very nice , the indent was there a part missing? , is their many older Channellock catalogues around with the screwdrivers in detail ? The Tractor supply in Charlottesville,VA had a decent selection of channellock products on this past Saturday.
Estwing and Tektron make some locally made very affordable items which I would highly rate. I think if you pretend it’s a USA brand ( like crescent ) you should not be able to sell under that name , when really it’s a Chinese tool , it should use a Chinese name .I’m surprised Klein and Channellock still make quality tools at reasonable prices in the USA in 2023. I think they’re the last two that qualify and fall under reasonably priced US tools? At least in the mass produced space.

Vaughan should be added to that list.Estwing and Tektron make some locally made very affordable items which I would highly rate.
That’s a very nice collection can you still get 3047 pliers ?
Vaughan, Pardon my lack of knowledge but I have not seen their products for 25 years in this part of the world, are they still independent? Not part of Irwin ? Vaughan , great neck , and Klein were poorly represented by the Australian agents and thus never got a good market share.even though they had quality products at affordable prices. Klein has only succeeded in the last ten years and chanellock 25 years.Vaughan should be added to that list.
Vaughan are still independent, as far as I know. A lot of their production has always been for private label stuff (something like 50% at times was for Sears), but I don't know if that's still true, with the push by retailers for higher margin imported junk.Vaughan, Pardon my lack of knowledge but I have not seen their products for 25 years in this part of the world, are they still independent? Thanks for the link a true American company , very impressive. Not some multinational that’s lost it’s way.TO my knowledge, yes. Vaughan is still independent:

Haven’t compared them. Tekton drivers are at work and the Channellock stuff is at home but I’ll do a side by side soonJust out of curiosity, do those drivers bear any resemblance to your Tekton screwdrivers?
Living in OZ is channellock racing NASCAR ? ( we race Supercars here Camero and Mustangs , watch out for Shane Van Gisberg coming to NASCAR in 24 ( a kiwi freak on the track ) One of the big name teams have given him a seat trackhouse ?one last Channellock item for 2023
This was from a while ago but I’m pretty sure it was NASCAR.Living in OZ is channellock racing NASCAR ? ( we race Supercars here Camero and Mustangs , watch out for Shane Van Gisberg coming to NASCAR in 24 ( a kiwi freak on the track ) One of the big name teams have given him a seat trackhouse ?
