It's a gimmicky universal socket thingy that they eventually discontinued in the late 90's.
I'm surprised that it lasted that long.

Not really a Hot Deal so, I'll post it here. Channellock.com is having a graduation sale now through 6/19/16. Order online from them and enter the coupon code NEWGRAD at checkout to get 10% off of all orders with free shipping on all orders.

Like I said it's not a great bargain but, if you're looking for a certain Channellock something, now might be the time to get it.

sniped a complete set of mini drivers earlier in the week, with the black generation handle!
(that makes my incomplete set of mini drivers AVAILABLE - missing 5/16, handle, case).
(the loose ones on the left, bottom pic, make a reasonable offer)

You got a good deal on yours, I think I paid $2 for mine.:lol_hitti Mine came with a Channellock 3/8 square drive spinner handle in like new condition though, so I guess I only paid double what you did. I've had my 906 for about two years now and I haven't found it to be incredibly useful (or even useful at all if I'm honest), but since it's a tool with no real equal in my tool collection I hesitate to get rid of it. Who knows, I might need to grab something strange and connect it to the end of a 3/8 ratchet in the future. The 3/8 spinner handle is nice though, I probably use it once or twice a month.

I'm thinking about using it as a ratcheting tap handle for medium sized taps. ??? :dunno:
It will probably sit unused in my box, but for two-bits I couldn't walk away.
I'd love to find a 3/8 spinner handle.

I couldn't think of a better thread to mention that Channellock is bringing back the Little Champ line. They were presented at the National Hardware Show last month but only recently given a proper presser and added to the site.

I can't wait for them to be stocked at more retailers. :willy_nil

I hope they offer them in a set as well. At a discount of course :)

By the way I have another little lot for sale in classifies. There are a few new channellocks in there as well.

I also heard Channellock might be discontinuing their awesome 349 pliers since they are more expensive to make and aren't selling as well as their 369 model. Kinda ***** if you ask me. Word is that it is their most durable lineman's model they make. I've got one of these and my other pair is the klein journeyman model. Both working great.

I stopped by Lowes a few days ago for a bag of fertilizer and as usual took a quick tour through the tool aisle expecting to scoff at the cheap asian made stuff and then leave empty handed. Although my local Lowes carries Channellocks, they only stock the most basic models, so I didn't expect to see anything I needed/wanted. (I really don't need anything to be honest, including the pliers/cutters depicted below, but they did satisfy my itch to buy a new tool.) Anyway, I was kind of surprised to see something a little different hanging on the hooks. They're models E318 (needle nose) and E336 (diagonal cutters). I kind of like the diversity of the E318. It's sort of a three-in-one tool. I'll make them my go to needle nose pliers for the summer and see how they do. As for the E336 diagonal cutters, well, I think I bought them because I'm still a "blue handled" tool junkie....

Let us know how you like them. I was thinking about getting the E318 the other day but didn't. They look really nice. I have a snap on set that are basically the same idea as these. They wer going to go in the van. I had them in my hand but didn't pull the trigger. I figured I just really don't need them.

I'll keep you posted...... I didn't need them either, but I did get some small level of satisfaction buying them.

When I was younger my Grandfather gave my cuosin and I hand tools as gifts. Craftsman was his chosen wrench & socket brand and Channelock was his choise for pliers.

Still have every single piece.

Right now they're giving shirts away with every order

Tried to order and entered the free shirt code but when I came to the billing and even the shipping state there's no Hawaii. No Alaska as well so I guess Alaska and Hawaii aren't included.

I bought my first tools in 1969, been a tradesman all my life, so I have 2 sets of tools. Believe it or not I never owned a Channellock tool until a year ago.

I started to put together a portable tool kit and saw some great deals on Channellock. I ordered a couple and was impressed with the quality for the price. Long story short, I ordered six for myself and a dozen or so for gifts. Average price $10/pair.

I have one complaint. Why can't these guys set a rivet correctly? Of about 10 pair of rivet joint pliers, only one had the rivet properly set. The rest were so loose, there was about 3/32 to 1/8" play at the tips. I just took them to the garage and slammed the rivets home. For ten bucks a pop, I wasn't too upset, but for anything like regular price I would have returned every one.

I just bought a pair of the 4" slip joints from HJE, hammer and anvil are ready. ;) I'm really glad Channellock started making these, my (discontinued) 4" Snap-ons are one of my favorite tools.

Overall, the Channellocks have been great tools, but that rivet deal is inexcusable.

I spent a week (35hrs total) cleaning out the late father in laws tool/junk hoard(s). I still have at least another week to go. Found these old channellocks.

I've been picking up channellocks either at the flea market or at garage sales for a while. I gathered most of them up for a photo op yesterday. My earliest 420s have a patent number dated 1933. They are either marked Channellock or Champion DeArment.
