Glad you were able to find the pliers you wanted!
Outlaw, I knew that Channellock made/makes those for Snap-on, they also make orange handles for Cornwell :)

I love Channel lock brand I buy all I can find used that is as of now I almost have the whole set. I really like the adjustable wrenches the ones marked USA the most but theres no difference also have some of the older red and black handle screwdrives I have the huge bit taking type and I love that one it's the largest I've seen other than SO large ones they don't make anymore. One down side I have to give them is the rust problem I take sand paper and wire brush so then and keep the coated in oil. I wish they had the clear coating other brands have.

Ironic timing!

Today I was at a high school flea market, and picked up a nice pair of - guess what?

curved jaw 422's!

I picked them and an 8" Diamalloy Crescent for a buck fifty.

I'm glad to get this pair as I can't tel you how many times that chipped top jaw in my ols set made a job that much harder to deal with!

Here are the 422's!

Canadian Tire up here has a sale on ChannelLock and I never see this 3610 ever up here. Well they had it and now it's mine. There are actually a couple different version of this I think. Some don't have the crimper, but I wanted this for the fact it had the crimper. $23 canadian, can't beat that with a stick.

Do you guys display your Channellocks or toss them in a drawer? I see some people collect the ones still in the vintage type bags which seems more like a collection or display item than a use? Just wondering.
Use them. Unless it's an antique piece with character but less efficient in getting the job done, it's hard to truly appreciate a quality tool that isn't being used. To me anyway.

hahaha!! All of my Channellock tools are usable. When I am done using them, they get cleaned and put back in the pouch.

All of mine get used routinely.

Thanks to my Garage Journal Secret Santa gift from Glen (Creativecars) I know have a VERY cool Channellock tool holder to hang in the garage. Truly an awesome piece which I think Glen made.

I've been picking up channellocks either at the flea market or at garage sales for a while. I gathered most of them up for a photo op yesterday. My earliest 420s have a patent number dated 1933. They are either marked Channellock or Champion DeArment.

Nice collection!

Those pair on the top line always stand out in a tool bin. I call them "Bullfrog" style pliers. :lol_hitti

When I was a Pipefitter in the plant, I never went ANYWHERE without a pair of Channellocks and a Crescent wrench in my back pocket. Seems like those two tools could handle the vast majority of calls I'd get.

Jeeper, your not kidding I do some maintenance work at a cement mill and it seems those two tools can usually get you by.

I too love Channellocks that have the actual channels. They are invaluable. [emoji106].

However the REST of their plier line are merely run of the mill "quality" pliers. IMO of course....[emoji3]
