Get a small screwdriver, heat the blade a little and pull the handle off and push in a cotter pin and you have one! And probably for a lot less than buying one.

A while back I ordered a $5 bottle opener from them and in the 'special instructions' bit I asked them to include some stickers and they also included the handle keychain with it.

Just ran across these Champion De Arment (pre Channellock) 307 battery terminal pliers. Patent awarded in 1934. Applied for in 1933 by HH Manning. 7.1in long. Found a big box of Grandfather's and Great Grandfather's pliers tonight... 8b912030ff42bafcefb4cccd56e58b2e.jpg175fbb2c98ae3df8c14276662ccbae5f.jpg

Nice find, and even better that you know where they came from. If you find anymore old Channellock stuff in that box, let’s see what you got. Thanks!

Definitely. Found a set of Bluebonnet 25 terminal pliers in the same box.

Don't think these are terribly vintage. Guessing 70s or 80s. Holding it under a magnifying glass it looks like there's an M in a box and they're EV626. So badly pitted couldn't capture it on film. 0a95f8cff1dbae3f6e804291bf2ccfa4.jpg4575a0979cafd32c7cf15dd8c44f1299.jpg

just in, from ebay.
(2) #53

and 3 hold e zees.
the hold ezees are without the spring loaded screw retaining clip, do not have p/n's on them, and are stamped 'hold e zee. ltd - USA'. maybe they were the precursor to channey using the solid blue handles?
anyways, with the duplicates, and other extras i have, there will be a 'for sale' thread forth coming.

Have always been a fan of channellock pliers. Recently ordered an 8 inch wide jaw adjustable wrench from them. Thing is sweet, I cut off the code blue handle, the sucker opens up wider than my 12" proto and craftsman adjustables.

I'm not a fan of big handles like that. I work industrial maintenance so every now and then the handles of my adjustables get used as a prybar or various other tools. I took a razor knife along the backside of the handle and it just peeled right off.79b643b2fa2e52ddc42fa3b9257e395c.jpg

I'm thinking about grabbing some of their ratchet wrenches, look eerily similar to Carlyle but far less

the handle shape looks (?) similiar to the channey hold a zees, and that 'family' of solid blue handles.
(4) sided?

Yes, channellock bought the Upson Company many years ago and changed the handles from the translucent yellow/green in my pic to the solid blue you have .

Picking up the starter set of 4 from Canadian Tire for my travelling work tool box since it's 50% off. So need to start writing down which ones I have as I have for my completion of my socket sets and wrenches.

Missus ain't liking my trips to Canadian Tire no more.....
