I look in this thread occasionally and I’ve never spotted a pair of locking pliers model 910c made by channellock.

They come in a few different style of handles.

like this one?

Yep just like that one. They have another style of handle I think on the “tog-l-lok” design. At one point I had both designs but I was just polishing them and never using them. The ones I had were in mint condition. I sold them on eBay last year.

I have a decent set of channellock tools. If I ever bother to learn how to post pics I put one up here.

Channel lock makes a great plier, no doubt about it. And still made in USA I really like the nipper for pulling out small nails and such. The oil filter pliers are also good for close quarter plumbing work.(in addition to gripping oil filters)

Those oil filter pliers are pretty awesome. They work great for stubborn filters, cause the teeth are super aggressive, and the jaws fit in tight spots.

Metaldad, jeffmoss- are those wrenches WF?

I just recently re-discovered 2 Champion Dearment pliers I had forgotten I had. All of the rest of mine are newer blue grips.

The 410 has PAT 1950362, the 407 has no patents but does have the "feather" grips, so I'd guess it is the newer of the 2.

I've seen that recess before, I have a theory they are older WF. Is there a WF down by the hang hole on either side of the wrench?
hard to see thru the dip. there is a letter, on the same surface, on either side of the hole. looked at few c man plain adjustables, same place.
so, i believe you are correct in wf. thank you, Dave

No problem! I like to keep track of who made (or makes) what adjustable wrench for whom. It can be difficult to discover since tool makers don't like to announce who is badge engineering for them.

I see that I haven't posted in this thread since 2016 but I took some pictures today of my current collection. Obviously I prefer the early tools.

I didn't know Channellock made a black/yellow set like that. Makes sense since everyone has. Is that originally a Stanley thing that everyone copied, or was it someone else before that Stanley copied?

I always thought that was Klein’s design originally, but had never really put a lot of thought into it.

The oldest ones I have seen or used are Stanleys from the 80s or maybe 70s. I just associate black & yellow hand tools with Stanley generally, but it certainly could be Klein was the original. Figured it was only a stupid question if I didn't ask.

I believe Bridgeport Hardware Mfg. Co. was the first to make this type of handle. Patent 2,871,899 granted in 1959.

Just recently picked up a Champion Dearment No. 2 ball pein hammer (24 oz) sporting a sawed off shorty handle in a lot of tools yesterday. I like it! Pictured on the right with a True Temper 16 oz that I also picked up.

Does anyone have one of the new style clear/blue 2 in 1 pocket screwdriver? I saw it in the catalog but have not seen it in person yet.

I have been meaning to ask about these - more specifically, where to buy one. Other than an eBay seller with singles, I have only found these available as a display case (jar) of 20 on Amazon and Home Depot's website.

They don't seem to be listed on Channellock's own website. Are these a recent addition to the catalog?

Jeff, I/m certain that driver is or was made by Enders, as I have several of the same thing in Rnders red, marked with SGI (The old Silicon Graphics from the late 90's early 2000's), a local hardware store's name, and I may have one marked Enders (I have seen them). I have a bunch of these and keep then in multiple places as they are so handy.

Having said that, I tried finding it under Enders name, and they have one, but the pocket clip is not part of the handle mold? Not sure I like that version...

I guess I’m not sure what you’re looking for. Do you want one screw driver, or do you want the plastic jar for a collection/collectible, or a plastic jar that’s full of screwdrivers? For some reason I think I’ve seen these before. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen these screwdrivers in the plastic jar at my local Home Depot. They’ve usually been on the checkout/cash register counter. Maybe I’ll stop by there this weekend and take a look.
