Am I the only one who strips out the teeth on the pump pliers?
No, I've killed a few over the last few years by stripping them out. They get swapped out under warranty.

All these long nose pictures made me check my knipex pair, and they are pretty bad.![]()
The tip of one side is bent, I can't remember ever bending/dropping them, but I doubt they would have come from the knipex factory like that (every other knipex tool I own is flawless, except for a couple of chrome coatings which doesn't really matter to me). Even so, there's a fairly large gap between the jaws because the cutters meet before them.
My wiha long nose pliers are perfect thoughdoes anyone know if the insulated wiha tools are still swiss made?

I think Knipex should do a extra long version of the needle nose pliers. I think that the USA market would love that??? What do you guys think?
I found yet another pair of Knipex long nose (26-18-8). These have the insulated grips and I believe are some of the first Knipex pliers that I purchased. Same as the other 2 pair in that the serrated(toothed) parts do not meet, but the cutter jaws do. This of course got me even more curious, so I started digging up other pliers with cutters and gripping jaws. 4 pairs of Knipex Engineer/Linesman style, none of the jaws meet(03-140, 02-08-9,02-01-180, and 02-12-225). I also looked at a pair of Kleins that are made in the Linesman plier fashion (D213-96t) and the gripping jaws do not meet either. A couple pair of oldish Craftsman long nose do meet, but more similar to the Klein J203-8N that I mentioned in my prior post. I'm still looking for some Craftsman and Klein Linesman pliers to see what they're like, but those may have been misplaced for good. I'm still thinking given the uniformity of these that this was a designed "feature", but i can certainly appreciate how this might put some people off the Knipex brand. Maybe a Representative of the Knipex company will chime in on this matter.
yepOr five??
Nice pliers I'm jealous! Did you make your own foam liners for the drawers? Something I need to do for my box.
