Looks like those bidding have more money than brains.

I'm yet to figure out the fascination people have with the colors...I don't get it. To each his own I guess.

I'm out of the loop for snap on dead blow hammers. I'm assuming Snap On no longer makes this color? If they're such in demand is there a reason it was discontinued or is this just a freak occurrence?

Starting bid... $9.99. I am sure the owner is not believing it.

I would never pay 5+ times as much as something brand new costs for a color. This is insane.

The folks bidding on it aren't beginners or shills it looks like. Some with over 1K feedback and still bidding. It would appear that all they are making are Red colored ones now. Maybe green Snap On dead blows are like The Green Lantern ring....they give you super powers to smack the **** out of stuff and not have it bounce back and break your mask. No clue.

It's humorous that people can learn to bid on eBay but not how to put a part number in Snap-On's web site search.

He still needs to get paid. The high bidder could possibly figure things out, back out and take the ebay penalty or possibly that was the seller's buddy helping to drive up the cost against an aggressive bidder and it bit them in the ****. I wouldn't be counting me eggs until the funds were safely in my account. The whole thing just seems out of line to me.

Color doesn't make that hammer perform any better.

I really understood this lesson when my neighbor was spray painting his BRAND NEW straight-from-the-car-lot Wrangler primer gray. He looked at me when I asked why and replied, "The color doesn't make it any less of a Jeep."

He was right. I still thought he was crazy though. :headscrat

Just bought one for 45$ off the snap on website
Odd, I had looked it up just before you posted this and it said there were 2 in stock. After your post, I checked again and it says 3 in stock. I like the colors. Are you going to 'flip' it? Somebody will try it. My look isn't that good. I'd end up with $135 green hammers hanging on the wall. Which would be ok, the tool budget is blown for the week already though.
Then there's this one, which must make no excuses for it's color; went for 29 bucks. Go figure.

Opps - too late for the party. I would have paid $400.00 for it.

Yeah, too bad you missed it. Even if you were fortunate enough to have paid $400 dollars for the hammer, you still would have gotten a pretty good deal. Remember, we're talking about a snap on hammer.

some people really need to ask a dealer a question before they go nuts and blow their wad.

funny thing is i just bought one off the truck for less than 50 bucks. Dealer had all his hammers 10% off because he had so many. I bet he has 15 to 20 green hammers just on that one truck.

damn! buyer could have gotten every size they come in for less than that! I just ordered a 24 oz orange one off the site. I should have bought a few green ones as well and flipped them on Ebay! The return would have funded my tool affliction for at least a few weeks!!

y cant you? im sure this guy is a snap on dealer because all his tools are basically brand new. i highly doubt he would buy it directly from snap on at full retail then flip it on ebay for less (except for this item).
