I got one and it arrived yesterday. Made in Taiwan COO. Took it out of the packaging, a few transport dings in the chrome.
Spun it around a few times and I wasn't very impressed. Put it in my box. Took it out again today and opened it up and added some superlube. Still wasn't impressed with 120 teeth. It didn't feel any different from 60 or 72 or 80. Meh.
Then I took it out a third time, and I counted 60 clicks. Huh?
Opened it up again and noticed one of the 2 pawls were NOT engaging. Thus 60 clicks.
Disassembled everything...
There's a hole in the bottom of the ratchet housing, where a spring with a plastic cap is located. That spring pushes on the lever selector. The lever has TWO springs (with plastic caps) in holes that engage one pawl each, which engages the gear.
Turns out one of the springs with the plastic caps was stuck in the hole in the pawl. thus it wasnt pushing on that pawl to engage the gear. I took some pliers and pulled the spring out. Looks like all 3 springs (with caps) are the same. I swapped the springs around and now things work great.
It does feel very smooth. I'm of the group That doesn't think a 3degree ratchet angle is that big of a deal when compared to 6 degrees or even 10 degrees. I'd drive myself crazy if I were taking a bolt off 3 degrees at a time. Im much more likely to add extensions, wobbles, universals, and even remove obstructions before i limit myself to a swing arc of 3 degrees. What I do like is that it's the longest 3/8" regular ratchet handle at about 8.5in that I have. It's also got a relatively thin head. The selector switch is not recessed though. The on/off labeling on the selector is useful.
I'm pretty sure I'll use it as regularly as any other ratchet. I'll probably think of it when I want a regular 3/8 with just a bit more leverage, or when I need a slightly thinner head.
Sorry I didnt think of taking pics. I was struggling trying to put all the parts back in with grease on my hands at the time. It looks like classic Apex/Matco/Armstrong/Gearwrench internals except for stacked pawls. I think toolguyd had posted pics a month ago.
