Facom Tools, if so what do you think of FACOM are they as good as snap on.

I have their body tools and I am very impressed with the quality. I would put the body tools up agains Snap-On any day. I can't vouch for their other tools though. Their screwdrivers get a lot of praise.

Every Facom tool i have is made very well and istop quality in every way. You could never go wrong with Facom tools.

Facom stuff is excellent. Their hand tools are a match for Snap-on. Both firms obviously have areas in which they particularly excel, but Facom don't sell anything that's not good quality.

I can't recommend these guys highly enough, if you want to buy, on the web, any of the brands mentioned on your various threads.

Their waiters may be rude to les rosbifs, but French corporations, IME, have very good customer relations. It's not really all that relevant with Facom for this poster, though, since their UK customer relations go through Stanley Works in Sheffield.

The Facom tools I've seen have been un-impressive. Their version of a Ford wrench is strange and not as functional as the Diamond... now Crescent version in use here for years, and other tools I've seen either did not feel comfortable in the hand or seemed to be not as functional to me.

Question - during the SK Facom years, did SK foist tools on the US market that were not Facom of France, but simply the Facom label on someone else's product ?

I'm not a fanboy for any particular make, I wouldn't buy Facom screwdrivers, for example, but I cannot recognise TheToolMan's description at all.
