I found this at a garage sale for a buck 2.98. My vinegar was my bath of choice. But no makers mark. What is it good for now? I think I'm just going to go take a nap and dream something up. Thanks.

Looks like a macadam hammer, for busting up rocks into gravel. Real grunt work.

It is spelt with a "K". Knapping is the process of knocking flakes of rock off to create arrow heads, knives etc from a rock or stone. You need the right type of stone to do it. The hammers are typically very small and often just a tapered piece of wood or antler with no head.
