my dad purchased some raceway tiles for his little shop and started putting them down and did not like how they went together (i was not present when he was doing it). long story short he was breaking the tabs and not happy so he tore it up and gave the left overs to me. i started putting them down and have had no problems with them breaking or anything but cant seem to find much info on people using it on here. just looking to see if anyone has had this down for a while and noticed any problems. it is kind of hollow sounding and clacks but i only did a small section for now and plan to put some weed blocker down to dampen this.

heres what i have down sofar. i will be leaving the main bay open as i do alot of painting and will put up some sort of "makeshift booth"

heres the plan. the white tiles represent the open bay and along the other wall is a work bench. and the other small rect is my compressor room.

orange wasnt my first pick but i could pass up the $400 worth in free tile.

I have not used them or anything so I have no idea how good they are, but from the pictures you posted they certainly do look nice. I am not too crazy about the orange color either, but since the price was right it isn't too bad.

Like you said, my understanding is that using landscaping cloth will remove that clicking noise almost entirely. Not the best color, but it'll look great once done regardless. Specially for the price. Will you post completed pics when done? :D

Oh, and welcome to GJ you lurker!

Ya I'll put them up not sure when it will be though funding is tight right now. Hope to sell this truck off and have a little left over cash once I put up my shed then I can do the floor. All I have left is the 4' row in front of bench and 6' x 8' area by tool box and drill press.

well heres as far as i made it and ran out of both orange and gray but still have black left over. the orange goes just to the edge of the pic. the black on the left in pic 2 will be replaced with correct gray when i get some more ordered along with the rest of the orange and some transitions for the edge. over all im happy sofar we will see how they hold up.

Your garage looks nice, but just to clarify the construction is not like RaceDeck in anyway ( from structure, materials and mfg process) , this is one why they need 6 tabs in an effort to keep it flat over time.
I usually do not knock a competitors product but this new company name raceWay tile, is a play on our trademark name RaceDeck. ...Ok enough out of me ;)

sorry i didnt mean to piss anyone offffffa (jeff dunham as peanut) i have never used racedeck or any other tile products as these i have only seen pictures. like i said i got these tiles for free and only stated what i have seen on the comp. i wasnt trying to do a comparison or product analysis just stating they kinda look like racedeck. wish i had any free cash layin around and didnt paint in this shop as id have a full racedeck floor put down. but since i paint and dont have a disposable 3g layin around im stuck with these freebies was just trying to see if anyone had heard of this company and used their stuff as i have never heard of them. my dad was the one that ordered these and he didnt like them and said here you can have them. now i need to order more as there were not enough. sorry for compairing a yugo to a bently. if only i had the disposable income of some of the people on here as the interest they earn on their checking is proly more than my salary for a few years. ***** to be a broke ***.

I had to buy the sample raceway tiles when I was looking for a tile floor. Your father is right they are ****. Free is free but I'm sure you will be tossing these in the garbage over time as they crack and fall apart. just my opinion.

I did half my garage in Racedeck and love it the other half I can paint and weld without worry of messing up the tiles.
