I've successfully calibrated a few Rimac Valve Spring Testers, have the test springs, have the basic instructions from Rimac, but I've got a new-looking 500# unit from Goodson which is giving me fits.
When I follow instructions, move the small bar to get the low end of the scale to read accurately and then bending the lower arm to adjust the high end of the scale and the low end goes cattywhompas. Get the high end to spec and the pointer is no longer at zero.
Once, by positioning the pointer to 40# at rest, I got close on both high and low, but having the pointer not at zero makes my partner crazy. "It''s got to start at zero and repeat itself every time." Of course, he's correct
Any new suggestions as to establishing a baseline and steps 1, 2, 3 from there?
