I have the long 3/8 flex, I stripped the loosening pawl. I know everybody will say just exchange it out but I fixed the floppy head on mine, I don't want to have to do that every time I get another one.
I used this ratchet daily since getting it in January, I mainly use it to check t-cases & diffs. I did pipe it a few times (enough to break the cross bolt), its held up pretty good till now.

Buy a new one and rip out the guts and install them in yours.

Was yours lubed or dry?

Best bet would be to buy a new on and swap the guts, then return it because it is broken.

Or just save yourself the ******** and buy a quality ratchet. Floppy head, stripped pawl; at what point do you cut your losses and move on?

I've never seen repair kits for HF ratchets. I consider them disposable or exchangeable items.
If you use it every day, I would buy a higher quality ratchet. You can always hit a pawn shop or ebay in hopes of finding a truck brand one for a decent price.

When I dropped a few bucks at HF I knew it was going to be a short-term affair with her. I got what I wanted out of her and when she broke it was over.
