Anyone have a Dewalt DW840 Grinder??

I picked one up new but missing parts from Lowe's. Looked through the instruction manual, but couldn't find the answer to my question that I could see.

I purchased the replacement parts I thought were missing, but maybe I am went wrong somewhere.

The first picture here, is all the parts I have..

So logic told me hey, lets put it together like this...

Here is a picture of the disc:

and then obviously the black nut in the first picture goes on top. However, I couldnt get it tight enough, to where the disc wouldnt spin??

What am I doing wrong?

Put the disc on without that big stepped washer. Report back.

Also, 7/8th arbor seems big?

I'm pretty sure it will work when you assemble like you had in pics and flip the nut so the fatter flat part with the two holes is threading on first.

And that's a cutting disc, straight up down cuts, do not try to grind or will probably break/shatter and you do not want to become a statistic for angle grinder accidents.

No dice on that one..

it doesnt sit high enough. I think 7/8 arbor is necessary because the black "nut" fits in it, lol.

It's entirely possible I bought the wrong one, BUT the manual references Type 27 discs, which that is...

I tried that.. that nut cannot be tightened enough to make it not spin.. or maybe I am just a nancy. ?? I had a friend try it too. Zero's

I read 5/8 spindle somewhere not 7/8, never mind that was spindle thread.
