If so, how is it working for you? I was thinking about getting a bench top press for the garage. It will not get used often so I was hoping one from HF would suffice. Anybody have any opinions about them or first hand experience, I'd appreciate it.

I have this one, definitely worth what I paid. I'd highly suggest the warranty, after getting my first one I -accidentally- messed up the chuck really badly and had them exchange it. Didn't use the warranty, but if it was over 90 days I'd of been a very sad man.

I use to work with ferrous metals, nickel, silver, light gauge steel, and it worked perfectly through them. Never had a problem with over heating, dying, lagging behind. Did a LOT of DIY wood working and loved it.

I'd highly suggest for a casual use home owner.

I have the same model Chris listed, its fine for small tasks. I even drilled some 1/2" plate with mine, using small to progressively larger drill bits and plenty of lube of course.

Well worth the money, use your 20% off coupon too.

Thanks guys. Thats the one I was looking at. Had a HF flyer in the mailbox when I got home from work today and it seemed like a pretty good price at $69.99.

Someone needs to jump all over that Cman 150 in the third C-list ad you noted.

Agreed. I paid almost double for my 150 and I love it.

That HF press only has a 4" throat, which could be very limiting in the future. The Craftsman is probably almost double that.

If you have the room for it, I would seriously consider the Craftsman.
