mine is a Sears motor. 1 hp with a shaft out of both ends. Works like a champ. Used to have a pipe in the garage (was a carport) and I u-bolted it to the pipe. Could swivel it around when not in use.

Yea, Ive had good luck using a arbor for wire brushes and the like on electric motors. one thing to consider is you will only be able to use it on one side of the motor because one arbor has to be reverse threaded or else the nut will spin off in use.
