My knees can't handle squatting in the driveway anymore. Need to elevate my work surface. About to buy the Keter but concerned with the <30" height. I'm short but I think I want at least 36". I know the legs are non-adjustable but seeing the holes in the leg mounts makes me wonder if it can be easily modified for added height. Has anyone done this?

I have 4 of them. They make a version with adjustable leg length. These things are great and will hold a lot of weight. Bought 3 of of the non adjustable ones at Wal Mart for $15.00 a piece. Use them to hold my miter saw, etc. They fold up to about 4 inches thick and store easily in the back of my van.. i like them a lot better than using saw horses for most things.

I have the adjustable one for 3 years and still going strong. It can support up to 700 lbs and the height adjusts from 30" to 34".

I do, its my goto table for quick projects. Pretty darn rock solid and folds up to almost nothing.

take a look at the Dewalt at Home Depot. its $69 and well worth it. it is the most stable folding table I have seen and super easy to setup and collapse. The work surface is a good size and I use the dog holes a lot with armor quick clamps (horizontal and vertical) and fence blocks. They also work with the Kreg dogs.

Keter makes 3 portable work tables, one has adjustable legs. I have a non adjustable version, going on three years. I use it all the time and has been really durable.

I found the adjustable leg on Amazon for $109. The non-adj is $59 at Sams Club. Looks like the adjustable gains 4".

I think the height on the non-adjustable one I have is 33 1/2". I think the max height on the adjustable table is about 34".

Edit: the height on the non adjustable table is about 30"

Had a few on our job sites and I personally have 2. Get 2 of whatever you chose and they double as sturdy saw horses. Was pleasantly surprised by their toughness. Think the non-adjustable ones are a good height, unless you're really tall, especially for a miter saw or planer. Having done a lot of bench work over the years, IMHO lower is better in almost every case. don't know if it's still true, but you use to able to pick them up at a $40 or less price point.

I have 3 Keters, use them all of the time, no issues.

I've seen the Dewalt, not compelling enough to me to change directions.

I'm 6'1" and don't think the Keters(fixed) are too short.

I use the hell out of mine. I've had it for a few years now and would replace it tomorrow if something happened to it. I'm 6' 1" and it's fine for me. I have a piece of furniture I build sitting on mine in the shed right now that I put a 3rd coat of polyurethane on this morning.

3 here also, 2 red ones and 1 yellow one, the red ones are maybe the pro version or something they came with extra clamp pieces. Use them all the time. Friend I convinced to get a second when I got my third was like, 3? I dont have a normal amount of anything, but 3 doesn't seem that abnormal on GJ.

I looked at and played with the Dewalt and was impressed. I think it's a little overpriced and I'm not crazy about all the holes and slots but the folding/unfolding is pretty slick and it seems to be very stable. Lifetime warranty.
I was surprised to find the Keter at WM for $64. It was ziptied to a display rack so I could only look. The WM version comes with two Quick-Grip type clamps while the Sams Club comes with some peg things. I like the second shelf but I'm concerned about all the plastic interlock pieces. Seems like a broken or worn tab could render it useless. Revues suggest parts and warranty support is iffy.
I need some play time with the Keter before I make a decision.

I picked up a fixed leg Keter a few years ago on BF for $39 and it gets used quite frequently. My only regret was not buying a couple when they were so cheap. But I have since added a vintage Workmate, so between the 2 I am pretty well covered.

Can't speak to modifying them as I have no issues.

I have two and they are awesome. We use them all the time in the garage and outside. Mine came with two different clamp sets (purchased at different times). I wouldn't trade them for anything. One (two?) of my best "tools".

I keep 2 pieces of 1x3 Maple to span the clamps for holding sheet goods.

Hey did anyone break the leg on one of these? I'm lucky nothing dropped.

It looks like a number have hairline cracks in the legs, you don't notice till you add some weight to it, 2 years after I bought it. Only used a few time for 2x4 box frame, under 50lbs
