I really want a bandsaw for metal but haven't found one at a reasonable price yet. So, temporarily I thought maybe the Rockwell Bladerunner would work for cutting relatively thin steel and aluminum, 1/4" or less.

I've looked at it and was not too crazy about the quality but maybe it works.

Anybody have one?

Forgive my ignorance in advance, but would any bandsaw with an appropriate blade do the job? I see plenty of bandsaws on CL, and I've figured that I'd simply be a blade change away from cutting nearly anything.

Speed is the major issue, a lot of wood bandsaws are too fast for metal.

I have a cheap horizontal hf bandsaw, and i dont know how i lived with out a bandsaw this long..lol
