Harbor Freight also sells a worm drive circular saw, which I bet is made in the same plant as the Skillsaw. Looks like the same saw to me?ok doke, i was wrong, wasn't the first time, won't be the last.
It was a Model E - AND - It was manufactured from the time Skil Saw became the brand name, and ceased in 1942
""Dear William,
Thank you for your reply. After further checking I found out that the model "E" was last manufactured in 1942. Unfortunately there is no owners manual or parts left for this tool.
If you need further assistance please write back.

The last Skil #77 I'd buy would be either a Type 15 (1979-1985) or a Type 16 (1985-1987).

Unless, that MAG77 was a 13 amp one from about 1995.^this....and NEVER EVER EVER a Mag 77 again!!! (tables bend!)
We found a model e in the garage of my boyfriend's deceased father. It has serial number 200118....We are going to spruce it up a little, not sure what it needs. But his dad was a cabinetmaker and woodworker, and always took good care of his tools. The insulation around the wiring is cracked and the wires are not corroded. It is over 75 years old after all. Interested?
