Hard to see, but its spring steel formed around the wrenches, with a detent on the top side that captures the wrap around part.

Ive seen them on super cheap (junk) taskforce brand wrench sets at lowes, but would like a larger size and to be able to buy seperate. Might seem like an odd setup to most, but would be perfect for my work tool rig since I need a set of flex gearwrenches semi regulary.

The ones at lowes only hold 1/4-5/8 and I would like up to 3/4+

I always thought these steel types were a shipping band as a type of packaging. I have seen sets where there is a hole drilled through the wrenches and a clamp on the bottom which uses a bolt and wing nut holding them together

I have a couple small cheap sets of wrenches ($2-3 /set) that came with those clamps. It's a great space saver (I have a set in each toolbag I use for rental maintenance/repair), but I wouldn't want to mess with it every time if I used them frequently. I've also had them pop loose from a hammer or pry bar hitting the clip while carrying the bag, then they're all over anyway. But, no, I haven't seen the clamps sold separately for larger wrench sets.

Me too. I doubt you'll find them sold separately. They have to be shaped to fit exactly the set of wrenches they're made for, so such a holder would not be suitable as a "universal" holder.

I would like one to hold wrenches together in a cantilever box. It wouldn't be any more inconvenient than having them in a tool roll.
