Anyone have experience with the Ego pole saws?

[For the record, I did search, and the only recent thread ("I need a pole saw") was a little general vs. my questions, so I decided not to bump that one. I know this isn't an OPE forum, but has spent plenty of my money over the years ;)]

The short(-ish) version:
I need a pole saw with some reach. I have Ego and Milwaukee battery systems in my garage. The Milwaukee isn't very long, even with an extension. The Ego PSX2510 appears to give me 17' (with an extension), but there appears to be another one (PPSX2504) that does as well and I think I can cobble a kit of that together (without the battery and charger I don't need) for a bit more money than the PSX2510. I can't find anything that tells me the difference. I can't tell of the 2510 replaces the 2504 either. The reason I'm trying to figure out the 2504 is it appears to have a better handle setup (a rear handle available) and trigger that might add some additional reach.

Some background:

The "new" house I bought recently has a lot of trees, and like the rest of the house there hasn't been a lot of management or maintenance. I've got several trees that will need some limbing, and a wooded path to the park that runs behind the house that is overgrown with trees and brush, not to mention blocked by several trees that fell in a storm at some point.

The path is a longer-term project, but there's a huge oak in the front with some fairly big dead branches (several have fallen recently, thankfully no cars were in the way...), a holly tree in the back that needs to come down and will need a lot of limbing first and several big holly bushes in the front that we'll be taking down right away.

All of these things involve a fair bit of height. Like, at 17' there's still stuff I won't reach that I want to kind of thing, especially the oak and the trail.

I do have a Kobalt 80v setup that has a pole saw attachment and an extension that would be serviceable for the bushes and the holly tree (probably), but even with the extension it just doesn't have a lot of reach. It's not huge on power either, but I could live with that if it could get up there. If I get something new, I'll be selling my Kobalt setup as it will be fully replaced by Ego. I'm not adding any other battery systems to the garage - it's going to be an Ego or Milwaukee

The Questions:
Any have experience with either Ego? Or know the difference? Am I missing something with the Milwaukee product or is it only ~13' with an extension? (which excludes it if true)

Thanks in advance for any help/insight!

I have there multi tool with several tools and an extension, and find them very useful. I don't have any of their "commercial" series tools which I think is what you are looking at. Hope you can report back.

I have the Milwaukee pole saw and extension. I think it is 9’ total. Hold it over your head and you get 16’. Stand on a ladder and hold it over your head and you get more reach at more risk. Maybe you can use 2 extensions, but I don’t know.

I am all Milwaukee for simplicity, but no longer do a lot of yard work. Honestly, my take is that for yard work, some of the other brands operating at higher voltage — 40 or 60 or 80 — are better. However, I am pretty impressed with my Milwaukee mower. It is 36v due to the twin battery but what really impresses me is the chassis that is gas mower grade. I have a 40v Ryobi that is nowhere near as solid.

I use an ego pole saw. It is a quality unit. Nice not to have to stretch a cord. Keeping the chain sharp is obviously important. Satisfied.

I have the EGO PS1000 which has a carbon fiber pole and can be extended 3.3 ft using the EP1000 add-on. The total length can be 17 ft (not sure how that is measured) but have not yet bought the extension. I believe it is the consumer version which is cheaper than the commercial version you are looking at. I have a number of EGO tools and the pole saw works great but it does use a non-standard size chain so you have to buy the EGO replacement which is high quality, just a little more expensive.

How are they on weight? I need to get one for a major project. I am borowing a Stihl BG56C. I like it, just wish it were lighter. I made like 50 cuts yesterday, some with the saw held up as high as I could. One tank of gas is about all I can do and then I am tired.

I chose the EGO PS1000 because it has the carbon fiber pole - was worried about how heavy it was going to be. It is not light and I would think the 3.3 ft extension would make it more challenging so I haven't gone that route yet....plus it's $129 and I think that's a lot of money. But, the unit is pretty well balanced and a shoulder strap is provided which helps. I can imagine that using the shoulder strap with the extension would be a lot easier than holding the pole saw up at arms length. That sounds difficult.

Same. If I need more reach I stand in the bed of my side-by-side which between the saw, my height, and the bed height is easily 17'
