Looks like a Western Forge product. Same as Craftsman, Proto, and about anyone else made in USA.

I do. Very well made. Mine is a few years old now, but way better then the newer Crescent brand wrenches that's for sure. Mine is a bit tighter, for lack of better word, than my Craftsman/WF adjustable of same size, but the WF wrenches have a better feel to the handles. I wouldn't hesitate to buy Ridgid adjustables though. I recently purchased a Bahco 15" adjustable from the warehouse, WOW is it nice. Smaller, tighter, better feeling, than any of my other adjustables, especially my larger 15" and 18" Crescent brand wrenches.

You can find WF adjustables for 1 or 2 dollars at estate sales almost any day of the week.

A better quality adjustable wrench is called a Knipex Pliers Wrench, and they are amaze-balls.

For reference of the Bahco, look at this compared to the Creacent. Both 15"

For that kind of money I'd get a Knipex Pliers Wrench instead. Way better that that old thumbwheel adjustable, IMO...

I have an 18" &24", they are very nice, tight and not wobbly, and mine get used quite a bit working in HVAC, they have held up very well for a number of years

I like Spanish-made Channellocks better than the Western Forge models, and they're priced similarily. That's not the say the WF models are bad by any means.

Check out Epsteins for a wide variety of closeout WF adjustables, some Ridgid branded.

Not that it applies to your new purchase, and I could be mistaken but I believe at one point Rigid made their own adjustables. I've got several that were well used when I got them a few years ago and theyre really solid wrenches like all Rigid products.

I can't call it. I do believe the Bahco adjustables are a bit smaller and more ergonomic, but I've never held two of the same size side by side, so...

Ah ok well it's not like I'm gonna be pushing them to the extreme, I rarely putt pipes on them and size isn't completely a factor, after all my most used one is a 24" so there's no getting around the big size, but I just hate my harbor freight adjustable and am ready for higher quality, which I'm sure the rigid will fulfill nicely. thanks!

The Bahco ,is it made in Sweden?
I have a couple 10" black oxide Bahcos that I picked up at a swap meet for $5 each that are a dead ringer for my buddies snap on,besides the name and finish.

That's because Bahco is a Snap On industrial brand. Yes made in Sweden.

I think Gray Canada rebrands the Bahco as well. Link.

About Ridgid, their pipe wrenches are tough as nails, and I was thinking about getting a couple adjustables, too. If they're just Western Forge, I wonder what the cheapest rebrand is.

I've got a 10" WF made Ridgid adjustable. Same as everyone else who has them made by Western Forge with the exception of having measurements etched on the jaw. It's a fine wrench but nothing better than Craftsman, Wright, Proto etc. unless you simply like the Ridgid name over the others. On a side note.... Those Knipix pliers wrenches are fine tools, I own a pair of the 10" versions, but for me personally, they just don't fill the same niche as an adjustable. I work heavy industry and there a lot of applications where the PW is just not feasible to use. As stated earlier, HJE has a ton of those WF adjustables, maybe even Ridgid branded ones, for dirt cheap.

Nice pic!

BTW...is that Bahco from Spain, or is it older?

Sorry, looks like that was already answered. The beef on that wrench got me excited!
Pretty damn new looking for an older one. Very nice!

Yes it is Made in Spain, but they're from Sweden. Also, the smaller wrench in the pics is the Bahco, not the larger one.

Me too!
I wonder if the warehouse has any made in Sweden Bahco's available?
My buddies Snap on was made in Sweden also , so I guess we know who the OEM is.
In my opinion, yes the Bahco is better, but there is nothing wrong with a WF made ajustable either,no matter the name on it. I have and use the Craftsman,Williams,Proto made WF ajustables also and I find them to be equal in quality.

Made in Spain by way of Sweden?

Sounds interesting!

I have the SO rebranded Bahco with the forked tail. Its my favorite. I looked into getting another Bahco, but the move to Spain and another reason.....cant pull it up right now......made me wait. A good thread on Bahco about six months ago.
I am still looking for a 24", and I will prolly go with Zoro over the holiday sales.

Spain by way of Sweden........niiiiiice.
