Hi… second post about toolboxes. Decided I’ll just be upgrading to a bigger husky box instead. This one has the option to add a side locker and hutch which could be a possibility in the future. Just curious if anyone has this one and how they like it. Only thing I hate about husky boxes is how they refuse to make a toolbox with bigger/more depth drawers like snap on does and instead make a ton of small drawers on all of their boxes. This box seems to be OK and should fit everything fine without any issues from the video I watched though.
Anyone have this particular husky box? How do you like it.

I have the 42in version of this. So the same box but with only one set of narrow drawers. I bought it when I was working industrial maintenance and pushed it all over creation. The casters bit the dust about 3 months in, but if it had stayed in one spot they would've been fine. I really think they are a decent bang for the buck.
Oh I also ended up destroying a set of drawer slides (long story) and was able to call the 800 number that was inside one of the drawers and get new slides for it. So parts are available just not online that I could find.

I have the 62 in and the 42 inch version. The 62 inch version I have is made of heavier gauge steel, I believe and is a little more sturdy. It has great drawer glides and casters. I bought mine for about $500 and then later, after they went up, I bought the 42 inch version. I added a 1/8" metal top and a vise to my 42 inch'er, as that is where I do a lot of my metal work and welding. I'd buy either again.
Oh yeah it won’t be going anywhere. Thanks for the reply. Seems like a decent toolbox. Will most likely get a hutch in the future.

My brother has several of those. The boxes have held up well to medium-duty use but the one that got rolled around a lot had the casters bite the bullet after about a year. Replaced with some expensive, larger casters with pneumatic tires and all is good now. Looks like the casters might be the achilles heel but if the box is going to stay in one place for the most part it should be fine.
Great to hear. Out of curiosity do these come with casters installed? My other husky didn’t but it’s a small box. Just want to prepare to bring my buddy for some help if they’re not already installed on there. Thanks.

Very nice. I have the 46” one but I believe it’s the worse version of yours. The drawers are not deep as yours I believe. Starting to outgrow it now. Wish I got the one you have have instead and researched a little more

I picked up the 52" version a few months ago.
It's not my primary tool storage - purchased more because that was the space I had after rearranging some things. I got rid of a workbench with doors and shelves - drawers are MUCH better!
This model is considered their "Standard" cabinet. I'd say it's far nicer than I ever expected. Nicer than any Craftsman cabinet I own. Better than HF Series 2. On-par with some older Masterforce cabinets (But deeper at 24.5" front to back). Of course not as nice as any Lista stuff, but I would buy again if I had the need. As it is I already have too many tool cabinets for the room I have, but it fit my need perfectly.
On this model, the casters were not installed - just as well as I wanted 4 swivel casters to"park" this in a specific location. Got some nice ones from Bezos and I'm happy with my purchase. It was pretty heavy, so I got one of the young strong guys f4rom work to helm me unload it and flip it upright after installing the casters.
It comes with cheezy drawer liners -fine for my purpose.

Just an FYI, I'm near certain after inspecting both in person that the 46" Husky I have and the 46" Yukon branding at Harbor Freight are the exact same cabinet, same fittings and drawer glides, but the Yukon lacks the built in power strip / USB ports of the Husky.

I have the 61" Husky your looking at. It's great. It's heavy metal and the slides are good to. I set a bigger butcher block top on top of the box because I wanted a overhang on one side to install a vice. And I had the room. Only con, and it's a small one is, the matte finished is similar to truck bed liner and can be hard to wipe and clean it.

I have that exact box
I needed a workbench , and storage .
Drilled through the wood and metal and Bolted a vice on one end of the top .
Had to remove the drawer to get the nuts on the bottom .
I’m thinking of getting a second one .
My son has tall boxes , but he’s nearly a foot taller than me and I can’t even see into the top of his boxes

My Husky came with liners. HF does not. The powerstrip is def useful! nice extra
I also have the 46" version but no power. I was debating it or the wider one and went to a second HD store because the first didn't have any out on display.. on my way out of the second store they had the 46" ones by the door at half off for a black Friday type sale additional 20% or $100 or something crazy like that anyway more off if you bought it with a home depot card.. didn't take long to make that decision!
I've never had a problem with that box my only complaint is that the drawers are just a bit too narrow to fit the trays of one of my tool sets. Had I bougt the wider box they would have fit. But if I could do it over again I still would have bought it anyway because of the price!
