Theres a company here in michigan that builds "box beam" pole barns. seem to be cheaper than a typical pole barn. Anyone heard of them good or bad? Heres the company http://www.branstockbuildings.com/

Guess not eh? Was able to find one old thread with a guy here putting one up but he hasnt been back to the site in a few years. For anyone who checked out the website, does anyone know if you can get building material to put up a building like that anywhere except from that guy?

It is hard to tell from the picture but they don't look like true "box beams".

Box beam construction is very strong if done correctly. It is a very intelligent way to make an insulated window or door header. It is not practiced much in the construction field because unless a box beam is made in a shop the labor is much more expensive than regular headers.

Around my part of Michigan you cannot beat the Amish for having a pole barn put up.
They don’t travel very far though, dam horses and all……………
