This post made me think of these tools. My Dad has a bunch of these tools and I remember how he used to love them and the quality of the tools. I don't think I ever saw a broken one and they took plenty of abuse over the years (he had them since before I was born and I am 34 now). I looked online and they are very pricey. (Pronounced Staal Villey, I believe).

You mean something like this:

http://www.stahlwilleaerospace.com

The funny thing I noticed is that they're all proud of their aerospace application. Now I didn't look at every page but where are the FOD tools?

I did some work years ago @ GE Jet Engine in Sharronville and they wouldn't even let you in the door if your tools were either "chrome plate" (black oxide ONLY) or not FOD approved (Foreign Object Damage).

Something doesn't wash here IMO.

there sockets are very nice and so are there ratchets.....but there main thing is there wrenches....the tolerances are so precise with there steel they use its unreal.....I would only buy there wrenches personally....I love the thin body with the large heads...very comfortable and very strong

I got a set of metric offset boxend wrenches. They feel good and are made to take whatever you can dish out. I bought mine off the Cornwell truck about 5 years ago and I love 'em.

I have a few but only what Mac or Snap on didn't have. They were good quality and I liked everything but the price.

Elroy, was that GE Evendale, near Cinti, or a different plant? I didn't think they had anything in Sharonville, that's north of Evendale along I-75
