Found a good deal on the IR 3/8" drive Hammerhead and was wondering if anyone has any hands-on with it.

I've had one pry 2/3 years now, never had a single problem. way better then any craftsman or other ir ratchets i had.

never blew the money on one because i heard the heads blow apart on them. would be very handy for crank bolts. the 1/2 version. too much money imho.

I have the 3/8. lasted about a month and it crapped out.that was 2 yrs ago. the one that replaced it has held up(knock on wood) so far.

No regrets buying mine. I wasn't an early adopter so maybe the one I bought was after IR sorted out the issues?

Either way, you can't pry it out of my hands. It saved me so much time.

Grease gets in the gets in the vein area and causes low power.My Matco tool dealer has seen this a lot,cleans the grease out and works fine.The nut for the head comes loose too.

I've got one, had it about 2 years. 3/8 drive
Really gets into some tight areas but could use some more balls

Think I may hold off for a while before getting one, but they're on sale for around half off....or so the advertisement says.
