Anyone interested in a DXF sharing thread?

I know we have a bunch of talented people on here, along with quite a few that have or have access to cnc routers/plasmas/lasers/waterjets. I was thinking might be worth starting a thread for sharing dxf files, although not sure how it would work since I don't think a dxf would be a valid file extension to attach. Any suggestions? I know I've got a lot of art/signs/tooling stuff that I've drawn that I'd be willing to share.

I am. I have a 25+ year collection of flats and Models in both Cadkey Wireframes and Solidworks. Mostly revolving around Race Car Parts and things I made for my shop and home.

Big Block Chevy stuff
Special Tools
Chassis designs
Trailer parts
Work Benches
Welding Tables

I think I have close to 20000 parts on file that I have designed for myself and a few others.

After a brief check: 70 Directories averaging 250 Flats and Programs each and that is just under the Race Car Directory.

Ask and if I have it you shall receive...

Right on. You were one of the guys I was hoping would chime in. I figured it might be a good resource guys getting their CNC stuff up and running as well. It's always more fun to cut useful stuff that squares and circles. I have decent amount of artwork, a bunch of brackets and tabs and tool stuff.

Sign me up, not sure what I have that would be useful to anyone else since I am into Ford FE motors but have other stuff related to my race car etc.

May want to expand that to .stp files for the 3-D people

Anyone have a good suggestion for how to do this? I don't think you can upload dxfs here. I was thinking of making a dropbox or something like that possibly...

Dropbox seems like the best option.

Or Grabcad. I dont have much to offer of other parts but i would enjoy requests that may pop into the thread. Not many people left on Grabcad that ask for stuff to be made anymore. I enjoy just making the parts and the challenges that come with stuff that I am not good at or know how to build. Helps me get better and also is nice to help someone who wants something made.

Have you tried draftsight? I'm pretty certain it can save as a pdf.

I regularly use PDF2CAD which is issued by IMSI designs, makers of TurboCAD

www.imsidesign.com

Editing for clarity - this is PDF-DXF software which is helpful to convert PDF data back into DXF files.

I use TurboCAD for mac for my CAD work and the export to DXF to get to my CAM software. If I need a PDF, I simply use the print function dropdown menu to save as PDF. Not sure how it works on PC.
