Guys, I have stumbled onto a old man with a **** load of 3/4 drive PROTO sockets, Proto pullers in the metal box(tag is gone) other Proto pullers with a pebbled face. I bought some stuff yesterday and told him I would pass the info on to my friends at GJ. he has -v- =v= sets sockets wrenches intials I passed. this stuff is cheap!! 40.00 for an MBC maintenance box ( I ****):bounce:

anyhow, I have no use for the giant sockets nor the pullers. I am going back and will bring my camera if there is interest here.

I know the thread is worthless without pics, use your imagination for now, JBW

Johnny, what about our mutual friend out by you? He's a real Protonaut.

I will eventually need Proto tools for the tool boards I just bought, including pullers. But I don't know which specific ones and I don't know what this guy's prices are like.

sit tight I will get some pics and post them later? I told the old bird I would help him get rid of the stuff, he is a couple miles away from me:bounce:

BTW the MBC tool box is an eldorado:thumbup:

I may be interested depending on how jumbo the sockets are and what his prices are like.

As promised , you are invited for a tour of Arturo's tool boxes. I have no idea where to even start he is retired 3 years now and was a maintainence guy at an aluminum plant working on big machinery. that may help with what's there I do not know all the tools.

he is a vague list of what I thought you guys might want
proto 5576A 2" 3/8 3/4 drive
proto 5570 2" 3/16 3/4 drive
master mechanic 2" 1/8 3/4 drive
proto impact? 10021-L
snap on 1" 3/8 3/4 drive
wright 1" 7/16
snap on allen set 1/2 drive 3/4, 5/8, 1/2, 7/16,3/8,5/16 A.H marked
1/2 drive -v- set sae marked A.H
24 " trimo pipe wrench very good teeth
1/2 IR impact gun (brand new)
whitney punch ( in a box with all pieces)
that is where I pulled out the camera and thought let pictures speak for themselves. ohh after he said 10.00 dollars for the proto puller in the box:shocking: There are two roll aways packed one top box. The MBC eldorado that was there yesterday is in my garage(40.00)

I have a vague idea of there prices but, i suggest if you see something to make an offer. I will give you a vague sense but, it changed from yesterday for the good! yesterday the 2" 3/8 was 50.00 I said nothing today i suggested that was a bit high and suggested they offer them at 25.00? I am not making a dime, just helping an old guy who looked out for me with tools and my buddies here on GJ.
I guess this will clean up as it goes but, here are more tools that came to mind 3/8 CM sets sae mixed v,g,vv,wrench sets CM v upside down v, i saw loose wright, indestro,sk, powr kraft (not power kraft!)
wrenches CM,Bonney,plumb pebble face,cratfsman BE(rusty and ******)

I am not going to go nuts here i am offering to be a middle man for you I want nothing but what I bought from Arturo, i am not even trying to cover my 10.00 proto puller:headscrat
i highly doubt they have Pay pal and I am not sure if I would trust sending money to a total stranger( he is older and really does not even remember half the stuff in the box) I met him at a garage sale( at his sons house) where he had a proto 1/2 breaker bar and that made me ask where the rest are? he told me there was to much to bring, he was right!
enjoy Arturo's tool boxes and let me know what you want out of it

Arturo has a 1/2 plomb breaker bar pebble face, however it was in the one single drawer to let water in:shocking: it is rusty look close at all the pics, I placed it on top. check out the obstruction wrench in my hand:thumbup:

did he bend this wrench? he said he bought it that way, There are no vise marks on it?

last ones and very sorry I can not load more than three at a time:headscrat
One final thought before i go into the garage. Arturo is a nice guy. I have told him I would help sell certain tools, not his Black & decker green plastic ****. The stuff I know people here will want. I do not want anything but a 1/2" INDESTRO wrench to match my set , but that we will discuss in another thread.
as I said before i am passing this info on and helping ship.

Are there any more Of those pebble wrenches ? I'll have to pass on the the Do it your self obstuction model....

1/2 " breaker bar, maybe more under all the others but, I think that was it. I do not mind the diy wrench, I have a whole bunch of em. the man worked for living to feed a family, not collect wrenches to brag about:wtf:

I am sure there are some very fancy plvmb wrenches on ebay right now. i am happy to stick the diy with the rest of my plvmb stuff:thumbup:

no just the rusty 1/2" breaker bar. The DIY obstruction wrench is cool with me, I have a collection of em. The man fed his family with that wrench, I am pretty sure it was not to brag about:headscrat
I am more than happy to put it right into the plvmb collection of mine:thumbup:

There are probably very nice plvmb pieces for show on e bay right now:shocking:

Find out what he'd take for those big, deep C-clamps.
Also, if he has any Vise Grip welding clamps, like that one in the picture... I'd prefer the ones with the swiveling pads on the tips, but I'll take any genuine Vise Grip welding clamp if it's cheap.

I'm also liking that little drill press vise...

Can never have too many clamps!

I'm talking about the ones that are in the shot with your feet.

They'd fit nicely in an $8 flat rate box with that Vise Grip and the little drill press vise.

I don't blame ya, Johnny. And if my GJ user name was "_______bentwrench", I would want it too. Just kidding, of course. I just couldn't pass up the straight line. :)

All jokes aside, that is some pretty cool stuff. Nice find! Thanks for sharing it with the rest of the GJ folks.

I thought of that too, what about those indestros?? I had to buy a set missing the 9/16 w/ stamped DH ahhh. I want 1/2 nice shape and will consider any metric! box ends & deep off set, why I am at it I need a pear shaped ratchet. I have seen your vintage auto wrenches at PaPa's, I have a **** load of ford script tools if you were interested, please let me know about the indestros ,Thanks, JBW

Which flat rate box is $8?

Hell, I dunno... it was late and I've been nose-to-the-grindstone for more days than I can remember.

I thought the mid-sized box was $8... Obviously, it ain't.

But those clamps and that little vise will fit in one of those boxes, won't it?!
