Yourself and a buddy can do it or go to Home Depot or such and inquire at their services desk and they will supposidly help you find someone. I did the buddy route and it took maybe 30 mins.

With some VERY basic carpentry skills, you can do it yourself. I didn't have any help and it didn't take much longer then 30 minutes.

I just googled "attic + stairs + install" and found hundreds of sites with instructions. One word of caution....

Save yourself a trip to the store and measure the ceiling height before you go buy the stairs. They come for different heights.
