Anyone Know About Older Oscilloscopes

I picked up an analog HITACHI V-422 o-scope a coupe months ago and decided I don't really have room for and would like to sell it. Only problem is I have no idea when it was made and if it is worth $100 or $400. It powers up fine and I'm sure it works great but on the other hand I certainly don't want to get into a ******* match if someone buys it and one of a hundred different functions doesn't work 100%. What do you think.

Search Ebay for closed auctions to see what they can sell for. Price it for less. Explain you do not have the ability to test all functions but they can bring whatever equipment they want to test it in person. As such I would make it an in-person sale only (no Ebay).

If it were me, I'd just try to sell it for $50 (and maybe take $40 if it's offered) on CL or FBM.

Old scopes values have gone way down in the last several decades because today you can buy digital scopes with a lot of functions (voltage, frequency, etc) for a lot cheaper.

Good probes are worth as much as the scope. If it has probes make sure you include them in the listing.

Good friend of mine had a scope about twenty five years ago that was just as PC based scopes were coming out and at that time because of speed this scope was 10,000.00 US dollars and a couple weeks ago the same friend of mine was told to sell it now they were going for 500.00 US dollars maybe.
