Anyone know anything about Snap-On Prism alignment system?

I'm asking for my dad. He has been tire kicking on a new alignment system to use on his existing rack. He has it down between two, one being the Snap-on Prism system, the other being offered by Hunter. The Snap-on unit is roughly $6,000 cheaper than the Hunter and it comes neatly packaged in a Snap-on tool box. The box isn't much of a deciding factor but it is something that will at least retain resale value ten years from now when the alignment equipment is worthless. So do any of you have feedback on the snap-on system (actually a John Beam) or a reason that the hunter would be worth the extra money? Your help is appreciated!

Just in general everything snap on will be more money short or long term with poor to non existence after sales service, lack of repair knowledge and replacement parts.

My experience with Hunter is the complete opposite than that of Snap on major equipment. Good service and availability for parts through out years of good reliable service.

You can't compare Prism to Hunter. It's apple-orange. Visualiner is the comparison to Hunter. Roughly only about 2-3k differences. And it's all well worth it. Don't buy Snap-On, the service/support *****.

Eventhough the unit is Snap-on labeled I believe it to be a John Bean unit. Do you feel the same about their service/support?

John Bean is part of SnapOn now. Has been for over 10 years. Units were designed and built here.
