Anyone know how old my tool chest is?

This is my dad's old tool test and he doesn't remember when he got it. He thought it was 15 years old, but I know its not because I would've been 16 and he's had it a lot longer than that. I'm currently debating whether I want to paint it or not. I was thinking of black with blue drawers.

15, maybe 20 years....

Overall it looks to be in good shape.

Paint it? No way. Leave it as is....

Maybe in 15 or 21 years it might be time to paint it....right now, it looks to be in too good of shape to waste that much effort on it.

The top of the bottom section has a dent from me standing on it to get a bogey board from the rafters when I was 17. Its not as noticable as it used to be. I may just take it apart and clean it up nice. Any recommendations for removing the gunk and not the paint?
