I just bought that set a couple weeks ago. I like it a lot. Great price too for 'Made in USA' for around what Sears is selling their made in China sets for if not a little less.

The only knock against it I have would be that the name / sizes are only etched, not engraved like my Craftsman professional ones are, so I don't know how well the markings will last after decades.

[...] I got this new set of Craftsman Industrial USA 21pc SAE & Metric Crowfoot delivered today. I really like these. :willy_nil

Yea those are nice, do they have a indent in them for the locking ball on an extension/ratchet?

I bought that set about 2/3 years ago at Christmas time. I called Craftsman to confirm they were actually made in USA because didn't believe advertisement. Mine have a detent for receiving the locking ball. Snap-on has a interlocking 2 pc. slide that you can feed them onto so they take up less space. Though I like that layout better. Never thought I would see Craftsman's future as bleak as it looks now.

Could always engrave it yourself if it wears off. Might not look as nice, but functionality is what matters most. I'll probably have to do the same with my armstrong sockets as they wear off.

It's the exact same looking as the regular craftsman just says made in USA and industrial but no better than old USA craftsman it just shinier in some occasions like the ratchets. I would not pay extra for it when older USA craftsman tools are a dime a dozen I know I got tons of it collecting dust since it's all been cast aside for truck brand tools with no added benefits aside from looks.

All the "older USA craftsman" crowfoot sets currently on ebay, even used sets, are selling for more than that new USA Industrial set is going for. Didn't see any going for a "dime a dozen". Perhaps you should list yours for dirt cheap here in the GJ classifieds since they've just been "collecting dust". I might buy some of it myself.

Personally I wouldn't trade a lot of my well-used ~30 yr old Craftsman USA tools (sockets, RHFT ratchets, etc) for brand new Snap-On/Matco/Mac, but that's just me. I wouldn't sell any of them either for multiple times what a comparable truck brand tool costs these days. They have a sentimental value to me many times their value to anyone else. I've turned a lot of fasteners with these tools over the years, and never once has any ever let me down. They've taken good care of me. I take good care of them.

Hell, I wouldn't even consider selling this Craftsman Industrial Crowfoot set I just got for twice what I paid for it, even knowing that in all likelihood I could just replace it from the same seller. lol

Now that we're talking about Craftsman Industrial tools, has anyone seen these DBE wrenches with ratcheting and fixed ends? I saw a set on eBay, asked the seller a couple questions.... twice..... but he/she never responded. I was wondering about their COO and where I can get an SAE set.

That looks a lot like the Armstrong double box ratcheting wrenches... I wonder if they're just rebranding it as Craftsman now that Armstrong is gone? The Armstrong ones were USA, for what it's worth.

Really thinking I'm gonna pick em up US made and look good, anyone have them? Can't seem to find much info on craftsman industrial, will they fall in with regular craftsman as far as warranties no longer being good? Etc.

CM Industrial is an orphan brand when it comes to warranty.

Sears B&M will tell you they don't sell the Industrial brand. If you contact Apex Tool group they'll tell you to go to Sears.

Its tough to know if these current Apex products are as good as the 30 year old versions WWheeler talks highly of. Its also tough to guess where Apex will be in the future, given all the changes happening.

So, if you buy these CM Industrial tools you have to assume the risks of quality and future warranty service. Or not. Everyone has different opinions and personal values about tools. It won't matter much when we are dead.

I have some older stuff labeled Craftsman Industrial. A heavy duty pancake style oiless air compressor and a 4 1/2" angle grinder. I can remember some other tools too drills and stuff

I have a set coming tomorrow. I don't see me ever having an issue with them as the only time I ever need them are when I torque down some intake manifolds. I surely hope they can handle 15-45 ft lbs.

Nothing new "now that Armstrong is gone". They started rebranding Craftsman USA and Armstrong tools under the industrial banner at the same time the main line of tools went to China.

Not betting on Stanley keeping the line going now that they own the brand, and Armstrong is going the way of the dodo.

I saw some Craftsman Industrial wrenches on a rack at my local Sears that is in the process of closing. Never saw them when the store was open so I wonder where they brought em in from.
