Could I beg you for a few good photos of the foot controls? My 1939 D-17 has the arm on the head, but none of the parts. I plan to make them for mine. Love a foot control on a DP. Keith

Sure i'll take some tomorrow night and send you a PM. Thankfully you've got the gear and arm. The only other challenging part will be the lower pivot bracket.

Thanks for the pic. Pretty sure I can make what I need. I got an email from HF on the t-slot table. Yep. You can use the common 20% off coupon on it. That makes it about an $80 upgrade. Keith

What size are the t-slots? I just ordered the table and was going to order a toe clamp set but Im not sure what size to get. The manual for the hf drill press says there 1/2" x 1"

It's not a total loss. I can repair that and re-machine it.

Edit: I see you posted before me that you were able to order a table. Good deal!

How would you take on the job of fixing that? Braze the damage and have it ground? Bore holes and turn slugs to fill them and then grind? Weld it up with nickle rod then off to the grinder? Keith

I'd braze it and then face mill it flat again. I could also grind it, but that's not really necessary for a drill press table.

It could also be welded, but that introduces substantially more distortion for the same result.
