I'd venture to guess those are old enough to be still US made, What slides? Price seems high, particularly if it is friction slides...

That box was $300 brand new 10 years ago and noramlly came with a middle box. The guy is nuts, $100 tops. Fricton slides are the basic slide system that was used before ball bearing slides. Friction slides mostly used on lower end boxes and their quailty is reflected in the price.

Old fashioned friction slides vs. roller or ball bearing slides. both allow the drawer to be fully (or nearly so) pulled out instead of having to leave 1/3 in the box, ala older kitchen drawers, although even there many are not on extended slides... nothing wrong with good friction slides, Craftsman used good ones, on their better boxes, but **** ones on the work bench and power tool stand drawers.

At that price I'd be looking at a Kr537 with matching lower box. Nothing wrong with friction. :)

I have a set just like that, but in more used condition.
I paid $100 for it, just to have a tool storage place at the vacation house.

For every you **** tool box price, I bet it is at least 2 to 1 if not 3 to 1 of insano high. I have seen that same box on cl "with tools" for $700. From the pictures, there was about $50 of hf junk. Just becuase it is on craiglist, it is not a good deal. It is a good idea to school yourself in what your looking for. Thats was the good ole' GJ is for.
