Can anyone tell me what this is ??

Saw crimper angle set tool

I’m not sure what it is. It’s in my old tools.

It’s a saw crimper used to set the angle on saw teeth.

Better known as: ..... "sawset"

That one is German made, and was seen with many makers marks on the little oval below the hinge. Many are quite ornate on the handles. Yours has the depth stop on it. Mine doesn't have it.
