Anyone know why this Proto tool box weighs so much?

I’ve been looking at handboxes and noticed this proto one. It weighs 7 or 8 pounds more than a Kennedy. Does anyone know who makes this?

It looks like a Kennedy brown but the Kennedy doesn’t have the side handles like the proto.

Thanks for the input as al ata gentleman.

What box is that, J9979-NA (can't read that picture, at least on mobile)? I'm not sure Kennedy makes one that big (32 inches) so that might be part of it.

Proto has a factory in Ohio making their tool cabinets and chests, my guess would be it's made in-house there.

J9979-na. Says it’s a carpenters box.

Is the Kennedy signature series thin skinned?

I have a new Kennedy K24 24" hand box and it is surprising heavy empty so if it's thin skin, I hate to pick up a think skin one.
