I was out looking for old tools and found a funky estate sale liquidation place that has a surprising number of nice tools. I scored a few Plomb sockets and a P&C chisel from some bins and was looking through the wrench bin when the lady at the front mentioned there were more tools in the garage...she wasn't kidding. There were plastic milk jugs with the top cut off filled with craftsman sockets of most eras I'm familiar with, each jug filled with individual sizes. There were -v-, -vv-, and more. They had also filled zip lock bags with 'complete' sets of craftsman sockets, 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drive...several of each. The eras didn't always match but were close and the prices were reasonable.
If anyone is looking for any specific sockets (or wrenches) I can go back and see if they have what you need. It was pretty cool to stumble on a huge load of old tools! They had Herbrand, SK, SK-Wayne, SK-Lectrolite, and Bonney wrenches and sockets too...just not as many. The volume of craftsman sockets was pretty staggering.
