I have a mtd snowblower on tracks. The handles for the brakes keep snapping off they are plastic. They make you buy the whole cable and Tigger lever they call it. They run 40 bucks a piece. Almost looks like a bike brake.

Ya those handles are weak in the freezing cold and always break. Actually you have a good idea using small METAL bike brake handles. Find some way to mount them and a way to attach the cable.

Ya and those tracked blowers are near impossible to turn around with out the steering brakes. When you come up with a better fix post it up here. With pics of course.

Talk to me about it!
I use an old Craftsman on tracks with no steering help.
If it hadn't been free I would not have it.
It takes about 8 feet to turn it around.
