I'm trying to build my garage currently but am having one heck of a time getting someone to come yank some stumps and bring some fill in. Probably called 8 excavators now and all say they will call and come out in a week or so but not a one has showed yet. Starting to think I need to get a truck and a couple tractors and start my own business. In Freeland Mi area if anyone knows of someone who likes to play in the dirt and earn some cash?

i don't have a garage, don't even have a carport. the cars stay outside in the heat, cold, rain. Now I have a 36x40 shop, but that no way, a garage. a garage is where you keep your car dry , with dry wall and fancy stripes that serve no purpose. I have a SHOP. welding cutting grinding grease oil sawdust on plain concrete slab, no yuppy epoxy for me. I have a man bldg, no ceramic tile on these floors. the bathroom is the bush

You'd be surprised how un-yuppie most striped garage owners are. The yuppie ones are un-decorated and full of kid's toys and snowboards with some cheap tools on a store bought bench.

OTOH, one of our members here with a tile floor probably spends more time in his garage in a week that you do in a month or two.

Currently without one. My rental townhouse in CT had a 2 car tandem garage, moved to Seattle to a studio apartment (so obviously no garage). I'll be closing on a house in about 2 1/2 weeks that has a small 2 car garage though.

I have a tool collection I've been putting together for a while, and I have one of those metal roof canopies/ 4x4 supports. The backside has a half-wall and one of the sides is closed off. Between work and school, I'll find time somewhere to close it all off.

I bought my first house 3 years ago...unfortunately, it doesn't have a garage at all. Just got told I'm moving, and my new house I bought has a big 2 car detached...21x26, 10 ft ceilings. Can't wait to move.

I mentioned in my intro post, I have a midget basement and no garage/carport. I just work in the driveway and under a shady tree in my backyard.

Garages have been on my house-hunting must have list since moving to one without!
