Anyone order from Amazon Overseas Lately

Has anyone ordered off directly Amazon USA but the seller is Amazon JP....
I've done it in the past however.....even direct of JP, DE, ES. etc sites

However, should I presume Amazon JP generally ships via DHL if I recall. So I should expect a tariff add-on as such right...
Unless Amazon has this all worked out and it's been paid beforehand....

Has anyone ordered recently and can confirm what experience you have
No idea how some of the other countries do it. Not Ali....but I got a replacement dash cam replacement direct from the manufacture. No surcharge incurred at all and it did originate from PRC. Probably some weird loophole as they are also using those weird last mile carriers that companies that I never heard of

I was wondering the same thing. Last week I was interested in something that would have come from Japan even though I was ordering from the US site. I didn't order because of not knowing how the tariffs would play in on it. If anyone has direct knowledge please weigh in.

I ordered a Gedore ratchet from the UK Amazon store on the US Amazon site about two weeks ago. Shipping was thru Maersk. Cleared customs in New York and then transferred to the USPS for delivery at somepoint. Unfortunately it arrived outside the envelope it was shipped in and the flex had beaten itself to death on the journey. Had to return it back to the UK. No charges outside the Amazon prime price. Not sure if it cleared customs under Amazon ownership or mine.

Generally that has to do with who the specific seller is on Amazon and whether they are willing to ship out of country.

I'm in Canada and can order some things from the US site, but other come up stating that the seller is unwilling to ship to Canada.

I have not, but folks on another forum I'm on about something completely different have reported when ordering parts from Australia, the Australian shipping agency collects the tariff at time of shipment. This is in the last few days.

Any of the multitude of Amazon International sites I have ordered from shipped to US.....however, the seller is Amazon and not a 3rd party.
I have noticed with Spain and some other country which I cannot recall, items I have purchased in the past....about 2 years ago, it was not available to be ordered and shipped to US anymore. I chalked it up to overall shipping size....as when I changed the item to a similar item but one size down (dimensionally and weight was less), that item was able to be shipped to the US

Amazon US website
Amazon Japan was the seller
Engineer extra fine extension
Klein Fastbit Screwdriver

All I paid was the price in the Amazon US listing.

I just got an item from amazon.jp and was only charged what was shown on the price.

The Amazon Global Store page says:

Import duties, taxes, and fees included at the time of purchase
The Amazon Global Store simplifies the import process and shows you the complete amount you will pay for orders for international products, including import duties, taxes, and fees.

It's been awhile but Germany also uses DHL if I recall

However, Spain and UK uses the postal
I could see tariffs via postal being a higher potential ?

Not very recent so it may not help you....

I placed an on Amz.US for an item shipped from Amz.JP in late Aug. Shipped by ECMS & delivered by UniUni (I hate UniUNi). No additional charges to me.

I placed an order mid Aug for a number or different items/orders from Amz.JP except I used a proxy buyer/shipper. Shipped by DHL, no additional fees as far as tarrifs or duties. I normally order direct from AmzJP when I can but the items I purchased would not ship to me.

To add, I have however had a bunch of orders from Aliexpress in the past couple of months & a handful of current orders waiting to be delivered & waiting to be shipped. No additional charges after the amount paid once delivered. But none of my Aliexpress orders get delivered by USPS.

My wife got a b-day present from overseas and between the postage, taxes, tariffs and pick-up that present cost 10 times more than what the gift was worth, scary just plain scary.

Order arrived. Delivered via USPS. Final leg before USPS was that it was sent from a 3PL provider : PackYak Fulfillment

I suppose at least with Amz.JP, they are -adjusting- to the tariffs.....as in the past, all my orders were always via DHL

Order summary for the exact same item delivered on 5/5/24. Both orders came from Australia. On the latest order, item price went up (as expected), shipping cost went down. Doesn't look like any tariff was added.

There Brump. Has anyone see any ordered items shipping times change....
I had one order. Never shipped. Even as of yesterday, it was showing delivery by today (per the original estimated delivery date). Even though it was showing delivery by today (when I looked at it), when you click on tracking status, it still showed not shipped

The goal post on the delivery date has changed once again to Nov 26-December 7th
