Seems recently every simple **** or strap etc hardware hinge I pick up end up having to peen the barrels due to excessive slop. Hinges should swing in one direction-is it assumed your using for 40 year old chicken coupe and your lifting the door anyway?
Frustrating-Spent most of the day building frame & some doors for overhead shop cabinet. Used nickel plated piano hinges as they are paired bi-folds thinking support leverage better. I wish my fishing pole would show this much droop. I have 1/4" gap all around doors, couldn't get them to clear bottom of frame. Ended up taking apart, used drift and peen (4) 12" hinges. Is it too hard on the machines to close the barrles on simple hinges---just venting, I dont get it.
