Anyone recognize these?

These are some of the unrecognizable tools I got from my grandfather that I had put away in a box. I was looking through it today and thought that some people on this forum might be able to help identify them. Any responses appreciated. Thanks.

I was thinking brake shoe retaining spring pliers but I cant figure out the top one. The are very old Proto.

The tools in the first picture are brake spring tools for drum brakes, the tools in the succeeding pictures I don't know.

#4 is for fixing chain link fences

Number 2 is a crimper/cutter stripper
Number 3 looks like a 3/4" ratchet with the drive plug missing
Number 4 and 5 are for fixing tire chains
Number 7 is for pulling old chevy brake drums

I think #7 is more of a combination seal/ dent puller. With a screw on one end like the old time dent pullers, and the lip for seals on the other end that is how I see it being used. I do not see how you would use it to pull drums very well, though I think that lip might fit just under the outside lip of a drum, I still do not see how the screw on the other end relates to drum removal.

i think you have pics #6 and #7 confused. pic #7 is the two hook tools. there are two larger holes on the flange of the drums, you hammer the hooks into them and pry the drum off. less warpage of the drum than prying on the outer edge.

nope, round end removes springs, other end puts them back on.

1).. Brake spring removal and install tool.. the plier type is also for installing brake springs. Have a couple in my tool box.
2).. Spark plug terminal connector
3).. unknown to me
4).. tool to repair links on tire chains.. anyone remember them??
5).. another tire chain link repair tool.. will separate links and crimp them
6).. Dent slide hammer for small dents.. note screw end and end for pulling torn metal. Haven't seen one since the 1960's.
7).. Brake drum puller rods... many cars used them.
8).. abused clamp for unknown purpose.

#8 is a valve spring compressor.

Thanks for all the responses guys, that clears things up for me. In case anyone was wondering I found out the purpose for number 8. Apparently it's a valve spring compressor for vintage British motorcycles that was made by Britax, an aftermarket car accessory company that now only makes car seats. It's supposedly quite rare and intentionally shaped the way it is, I thought it was bent too.
